Summer Feet

It’s that time of year... the time when the weather breaks and you break out those sandals. Say goodbye to the boots and cashmere socks, and hello to flowery
wedges and metallic flip-flops. During the colder months, your feet did a disappearing act into your warm socks and underneath the covers every time they
were bared. So it didn’t really matter if your toes weren’t polished impeccably and your heels were rough as sandpaper. But, just like the rest of your body,
they will be bared in the warmer months to come. And just like you’re working to get into shape for bathing suits, your feet must go through a similar process to
become presentable. Pampering your feet can be fun…and it is so rewarding after a day in heels. Just like you have a facial skincare routine (remove makeup, rinse,
scrub, tone…) you feet should be showered with just the same amount of attention.

I’ve created a 4 step routine to help you remember how to keep your feet feeling pampered, and which products you need to invest in. It’s called the 4 S’s. They are:
1. Soak
2. Scrub
3. Smooth
4. Spoil

I find it works best if I follow that order. Soak, immerse your feet in lukewarm water to clean and relax them. Scrub, slough off any dead skin with a pumice or
foot scrub. Smooth, use foot or body lotion once feet are dry to smooth them over. And spoil, this step can mean polishing your toes or pampering them any way
you’d like. That is the last step. So after you do all of those things, your feet will be sandal-ready. Here are some products I recommend for helping get your
feet into shape…summer here we come!!!

Soak:

Even though this soak is very pricey, Fresh products are famous for being the
ultimate for pampering. This soak is on a different level than any other ones
you’ve tried. It has peach, mandarin orange, and grapefruit extracts that soothe
your toes with their fruity aroma and softening abilities. And even better, the
packets have the perfect amount for a one time use, so you don’t have to worry
about wasting any of this precious formula.
Scrub:

Scrubbing your feet for a few minutes with this stone will drastically increase
your feet's softness. I love this one because it has an easy handle that any
amateur could use. I keep one of these in my shower at all times because the more
you use it, the softer your feet become. Definitely something useful to have,
especially this time of year.
With poppy seeds, walnut powder, and white clay, this scrub is exfoliating as
well as being moisturizing. This scrub is great especially if you have dry feet
because of its high content of shea butter, which really softens your skin. Plus,
this has one of my favorite ingredients for a foot product, mint, which makes my
feet tingle.
Smooth:

Even though this heavenly lotion is meant for the body, I like to use it on my
feet as well. It smells like frosting, and sinks into your skin instantly. I
either like to use a mint lotion of my feet, which stimulates circulation to
aching arches, or a sweet smelling one, like this that makes me smell so yummy.
These socks are the ultimate pampering tool. It saves me a trip to the nail salon
to get a pedicure because they soften my feet in the matter of an hour without
having to leave the house. They seem expensive, but with all the money I save
from not going to the salon, these are worth every penny. They are one of my
favorite products ever.
Spoil:

One of the hottest colors of the season, this bubble-gum pink polish is sure to
wow. It makes your newly pampered toes stand out against any choice of sandals
you choose, no matter how bright they may be. And if the luxury of owning a
Chanel nail polish and having it be the hottest color of the season doesn’t quite
impress you, maybe the staying power of this polish will.
