New year, new you blah, blah, blah... January is my least favorite month of the year. There's nothing to look forward to, for the most part it's cold, and even the holidays are of the somber variety (for some reason President's Day doesn't exactly inspire the same joyful abandon as the Fourth of July.) On top of that every magazine is full of articles on how to be good. But what if you don't want to be good? I like myself just fine. So this year my resolution is to be "bad." Well at least when it comes to getting dressed. My inner bad girl has been dying to get out, and this is her year. Or least her month -- I'm fickle like that. Good girls may go to heaven, but bad girls go everywhere, and your inner bad girl has a full calendar this month.

CLASSIC
You don't have to dress up in leather and lace to be bad. Classic girls can still look tough with the help of chic, well tailored pieces. Kristinit's silk charmeuse jacket is the type of piece every classic wardrobe needs. Bold, but not overstated, and perfect for every occasion. Add a menswear influenced pencil skirt and a soft, touchable cami and you've got a look that exudes tough girl chic, in a very classy way.
WORK
Business casual for the bad girl means relatively simple pieces paired with unique accessories that let her rebel heart shine through. The basics become so much better when you add a stunning studded leather belt that will make your biker boyfriend so jealous. Stacked heeled boots and gold hoops are the perfect compliments to the corporate "bad ass" look. Let the boys play golf, you're too busy kicking down the board room door.
WORK
Bad girl staples: tons of attitude and a killer leather jacket. While the attitude might not get you far at work, this sumptuous leather jacket definitely will. The gorgeous aqua color makes the the look much more luxe, especially when paired with a tee and bag in similar rich tones. Top it off with a chunky chain necklace for a little extra bad girl flavor.
FUNKY
The life of a bad girl is full of contradictions. You've got a wardrobe full of tough tees. Steer away from the standard jeans and tee look by adding an flirty skirt. Knee high boots and an unexpected element, like a quirky bag add an element of humor to your tough girl style.
CASUAL
Arctic blasts mean it's time to bundle up. The bad girl's recipe for style success -- layer sweet pieces like a pink tee and floaty, lurex cami with tough girl staples like a camouflage parka. Finish the look with slouchy boots, a cozy hat, and a super fierce ring.
GOING OUT
So you could wear this top with a skirt, if you want to get a toothache. But if you want to avoid a trip to the dentist try pairing it with slouchy cargo pants -- the kind of combination that only a true bad girl can rock.
